Thank you for supporting the Burlington County Chapter Blood Drive.

In spite of the heat, 23 donors came out, and 19 productive pints were collected, with the potential of saving 57 lives. Blood is needed every day of the year; in the summer, even more blood is needed because people travel more and engage in activities that lead to accidents. If you were unable to attend this blood drive, there are plenty of open blood drives that you can go to.  Call 609-267-9595 for information about a blood drive near you.

¢hange Changes Lives 2010

How far that little candle throws his beams!
So shines a good deed in a weary world.
- William Shakespeare

Many, many thanks to more than 26,000 wonderful ‘candles’ in over 70 Burlington County schools who have done so much to help the residents of Haiti over the last few months.  Working together, Burlington County students in preschool through high school have so far donated $69,743 to ongoing American Red Cross disaster relief operations in Haiti.  You have truly made an amazing difference in the lives of strangers.

The very caring and compassionate students who participated in our ¢hange Changes Lives 2010 project or organized fundraisers at their schools did extra chores, sold treats, looked under sofa cushions, held movie nights, gave birthday money, donated to wear “Hats for Haiti” and participated in many other activities.  You have all done Burlington County extremely proud, and we thank you more than words can express.
