Burlington County Chapter

  • Provided 72 families (280 individuals) who were victims of house and apartment fires at least three nights in a motel, vouchers for food and clothing at no cost because of the generosity of the citizens of Burlington County.
  • Provided 409 families with sons and daughters in the armed forces stationed around the world with emergency communication linkages, travel support and financial assistance in response to family emergencies.
  • Collected over 20,000 pints of blood for people in severe accidents, cancer patients and burn victims during 400 blood drives in Burlington County with the support of 600 volunteers.
  • In addition to serving as a distributor of Automated External Defibrillators, the chapter also provided training in the use of this life saving device.
  • Trained over 15,000 residents and employees of local businesses in First Aid and CPR.
  • Have provided support and comfort kits to all the troops being deployed from Ft. Dix and McGuire AFB.
  • Have run special educational programs in half the school districts in the county, including Masters of Disaster & Basic Aid Training (BAT) & babysitting certification.
  • Organized an ongoing task force linking all volunteer disaster service providers together to better coordinate emergency response in the event of a large scale disaster
