September 8, 2008
Riverton Country Club

Proceeds benefit Programs and Services

Enjoy a wonderful day on the golf course and support your local American Red Cross Chapter at the same time. By attending the tournament or becoming a sponsor of the event, you will help make it possible to provide services to your fellow citizens. Did you know that last year in Burlington County your Red Cross Chapter accomplished the following:

  • The Armed Forces Emergency Services system enabled over 246 families to send emergency messages to members of the military.

  • The Health and Safety Services Division trained over 12,000 people in emergency life saving techniques, including how to use an automated external defibrillator.

  • The Blood Services Division helped to facilitate the collection of over 16,000 pints of blood.

  • The Emergency Services Division responded to over 49 fires in the county and provided food, shelter, and clothing at no charge to the victims. Emergency Services also participated in training many county citizens to participate as volunteer members of the county CERT teams, ready to assist in the event of any emergency.

The American Red Cross is not affiliated with

the government and most of the county chapter’s supporting revenue comes from the generous people of Burlington County.

Founded in 1900 as a 9-hole course, it was completely renovated and enlarged into an 10-hole course designed by Donald Ross. The new layout was opened the weekend of July 4, 1917.
