Alert county residents who have driven past our Chapter office on Rt 38 in Lumberton may have spotted our latest piece of disaster equipment- a genuine Emergency Response Vehicle, known as an ERV. Purchased with a grant, this vehicle will enable us to provide even more help to the community during disasters. Fully equipped with an assortment of containers and supplies, the ERV can be used to provide hot meals to disaster victims, refreshments to disaster workers, and other important support services. Watch for this vehicle at events and parades around the county- it may pay a visit to your town. |
